She provides strategic and business development leadership. Melissa's twenty-seven years of IT experience brings a proven track record in providing excellent customer service to clients with project management, IT staff augmentation, and custom IT application development projects. Her commitment to customer service is a guiding principle in all VSI efforts and consistently exceeds the clients’ expectations.
Offering feature-rich services to VSI clients, Melissa aggressively galvanizes her team to streamline the clients’ unique processes, strive to enhance the clients’ efficiency, and isolate the weaknesses, creating a significant impact and fueling their growth. Every aspect is well-managed, empowering her clients to sanction VSI’s paramount services.
Melissa received her Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in Computer and Information Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida. From the Project Management Institute she obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. She has worked with Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies on Mainframe and Client/Server based technologies in support, development, testing, and project management roles.
A strong believer in service organization participation, Melissa has held numerous prestigious leadership positions in local and regional non-profit and professional organizations. Currently, she is on the Advisor Board of the University of North Florida Computer Science Department, past Nominating and Governance Chair of the Essential Capital Finance Inc, formally known as Jacksonville Economic Development Company (JEDCO), and past Treasurer, VP of membership, and Director of Webmaster of the Northeast Chapter of Project Management Institute, and Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce Small Business Chair. For her outstanding performance and commitment she has been recognized with numerous awards, including, but not limited to: Small Business Center Leader of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, and The Blue Chip Award from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida.
